Al Sharqiyah TV:

Brigadier General Qasim Ata, spokesman for the Law Enforcement Plan, has said that 46 terrorists were arrested, and that quantities of weapons and explosives were seized in the area of Abu-Ghurayb in western Baghdad. Ata added that the men of the Iraqi Army and Police are about to purge all the areas of Al-Karkh in Baghdad of terrorist gangs.

Iraqi Army troops arrested nine "terrorists" and seized scores of explosive charges in Ninawa Governorate.

The Multinational Forces said that 15 "terrorists" were arrested in a raid-and-search operation in Al-Hillah and Al-Fallujah today.

The security forces in Kirkuk arrested "a number of terrorists" who are responsible for "a number of crimes" in Kirkuk.

Sixteen citizens were "martyred," and 70 others were wounded when a booby-trapped car blasted in Al-Kufah city in Al-Najaf Governorate today. The Al-Iraqiyah correspondent in Al-Najaf said that the explosion caused "severe material damage."

Two Iraqis were "martyred," and six others were injured when an explosive charge went off in the area of Al-Za'faraniyah in Baghdad. Police sources said that the charge was planted inside a gas station in the aforementioned area.

A security source has announced that two policemen were "martyred," and 22 others, including policemen, were wounded when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up targeting the Jalawla Police Station in Diyala Governorate. - MIDEASTWIRE.COM, Middle East
