Al Sharqiyah TV:

Al-Batha subdistrict is witnessing armed confrontations between the two sides [Mehdi army and Iraqi army], using mortar shells, which resulted in killing two people, as well as a woman and a child whose house was hit by a mortar.

In Al-Muthanna Governorate, the Iraqi police opened fire on angry young men who gathered and hurled stones at the governorate's building after failing to enrol in the Iraqi police.

Unidentified gunmen launched an attack on one of Al-Sadr Trend's offices in Ba'qubah this morning. Security sources said that two people were killed in the attack which also caused damage, adding that an Iraqi police patrol came under attack in Al-Ummal district in the southern part of Ba'qubah. The attack claimed the lives of two of the patrol's members and wounded six others, five of them seriously.

Unidentified gunmen kidnapped Majid Hamid, an administrative assistant at the Al-Miqdadiyah Public Hospital. - MIDEASTWIRE.COM, Middle East
