Al Sharqiyah TV:

In the area of Al-Mansur in the centre of Baghdad, eight people, including three women, were killed, and six others were wounded in an attack targeting an electrical appliances import company this morning. A security source said gunmen wearing security forces' uniforms stormed the company premises and opened fire on the employees, killing eight and wounding six, who were transferred to the nearby Al-Yarmuk Hospital.

Iraqi forces shut down the roads leading to the Al-Amil district following clashes with gunmen in the area. Al-Sharqiyah correspondent said Iraqi forces besieged a mosque in the Al-Amil district, where they came under fire, and clashes took place that continued until noon today.

An unidentified person targeted checkpoint staff in Al-Fallujah in western Iraq. A police source said a sniper killed two Iraqi soldiers at a checkpoint in the western part of the city following an argument between one of them and a family wanting to enter Al-Fallujah.

A US forces' camp in eastern Al-Fallujah came under a mortar attack last night. Witnesses from neighbouring areas said five shells landed inside the US military site after midnight, causing big explosions.

Gunmen attacked a US military foot patrol near Hadithah in western Iraq yesterday afternoon, killing three of its members.

Kuwaiti news agency Kuna:

Three Iraqi soldiers were killed and 12 others were wounded on Wednesday in a number of blasts in the province of Kirkuk in northern Iraq. A Kirkuk Police source said that three Iraqi soldiers were killed when an explosive device targeted a joint US-Iraqi military patrol on a road nearby Nasir town west of Kirkuk. - MIDEASTWIRE.COM, Middle East
